Ramadan

Please remember The holy month of Ramadan for 2009 is expected to commence from 20 August-20 September. Throughout the day the serving of alcohol will be restricted and bars will only be open from dusk. There will be no live entertainment. Please remember to respect local customs: do not eat, drink or smoke in public places during the daylight hours and dress sensibly. -No food, drinks, smoking or gum-chewing should be consumed in public places (open areas) during the day-light hours. Areas such as beach, swimming pools & hotel lobbies do not serve food or drinks until sunset (the exact timing changes everyday and is announced on a daily basis) -Alcohol will not be available in open restaurants & bars and will only be served in closed restaurants and bars between 1900 hrs - 0300 hrs (UAE time). Alcohol is readily available through Palace Ceremony and in the minibar of room/suite. Any change to this rule made by the Government of Abu Dhabi will be amended accordingly. -No live entertainment during the entire month of Ramadan except for traditional soft Arabic music -Both East Wing relaxation pool & West Wing adventure pool will remain operational.
